So, I'm older and have a number of Aspire Nautilus tanks. I like to have them set up to keep me thru the week and then clean and recharge them on weekends. I now only buy from VAPESHOP. I have a number of them from EBay that are clones and although you may not immediately notice the difference ... the few extra dollars do make a difference. The clones have rusted and hey are the first to fail ... sometimes after 2-3 fillings. The rust is the most obvious issue, however, comparing the internals of the atomizer on the bottom is where you know the real Naultilus from the clone ... and the clones fail faster.
Now, as far as atomizers ... have also tried the cheap clones and they look like the real thing ... but often 10% fail with the 'no atomizer' error ... and it is just not convenient disassembling the full tank for this issue (or to even see if that is the problem.
Lastly, for those who were novices like me, I have got this to a science. After dealing with multiple failures, I have enough units that I disassemble them when they start turning brown, soak all parts in a cup of vodka overnight, rinse them in very hot water and then set them out to dry before reassembly. All this was from multiple blogs. However, the key part ... I no long buy clone and when the unit fails and you have the real thing ... the quality is obvious.
