Got this and did my initial cleaning of all the components before using. I used the OCC 0.5 ohm coil and would keep getting the dry hit too many times to be happy with the OCC type coil. I then replaced it with the RBA with the pre-installed 0.5 ohm coil. I used the cotton that came with the tank and juiced it up. it was better but still would have the wick dry out and produce dry hits... i experimented with how to position the wick, fluff it up as much as possible and eventually got something consistent for the most part. I eventually bought my own kanthal 26gauge round wire and also a coil making jig. here is what has worked PERFECTLY without a single dry hit! (filled the tank a total of 4 times at the time i am writing this review). I did a 3mm inner diameter with a total of 5 wraps and then stretched the coil to make the wraps have a small gap between each other(instead of the coil's loops touching they have a space between them). i added my cotton (I am quite satisfied with "cotton bacon" because it is already very fluffy) , put the chimney on and trimmed the cotton almost flush with the top of the chimney. Believe me that i have tried shorter and longer pieces but with the inner diameter being 3mm instead of the stock coil which is possibly 1.5mm, it ends up being a thicker wick and i feel like it really helps the flow of the juice to the coil better. I fluff the cotton down on either channel (where the holes are on the chimney) and i take the time to make sure it is not packed down at all!!!! I then create a pocket underneath the cotton by using a paperclip or the screwdriver this tank comes with; using the paperclip, from the outside of the juice holes on the chimney, i gently push the cotton up just slightly till i can just see the base of the deck. I then look back down from the top of the chimney to make sure the juice holes are still being blocked by the cotton so that the juice will not flow over and past the cotton which will flood the chamber (not good unless you like to drink the juice or if you like it to drain out the air ports). i wet the wick well enough and put the top back on the chimney, assemble the tank and thats about it. PS make sure to pulse the coil (before adding cotton) to burn off any impurities. Also, the 3mm coil i wrapped ended up being at 0.9 ohm and i run it up to around 35watts. Anyways its a good tank and they ship stuff FAST!
